Me Made May!!!

It’s my favorite time of year… ME MADE MAY! I try to wear me made items all year round of course but this gives me the extra push! If you are not familiar with Me Made May, it’s a challenge of sorts to encourage people to wear handmade items throughout the month of May. You can find lots of great information on the So Zo.. Blog.

Personally, I’m going to take on the challenge of wearing at least one handmade item everyday. I already wear handmade ALMOST everyday so the hardest part for me will be taking a picture of each item. I’m encouraging all the ladies at the shop to play along too! Here is our first round-up of cute, handmade outfits!

Are you participating in Me Made May??

Fabric Designers…they’re not just for fabric!

I know that a lot of people think that if you are a successful fabric designer, you must be raking in the dough.  In reality, most make very little…like pennies per yard!  So it makes sense that they design other things as well.

Leah Duncan is one of my favorite fabric designers.  Recently, while shopping for new bedding, I found these at Schoolhouse Electric.

Scout Tee OBSESSION!

The Scout Tee is a pattern by Grainline Studio that we’ve been in love with ever since it came out in PDF form.  But now, there is a printed version and we predict even more Scout Tee love around here! We’re even teaching it as a class!

This pattern is so flattering, and because it’s designed for woven fabric, there is no limit to the fabric print possibilities!

Here’s one of my firsts…my hair is still long here so you know it was awhile ago!

A newer one…

I love the way Natalie let her bias binding come above the neckline!

Liz is probably the most obsessed, she has about 8 of them!

Liz is sad here because she’s moving.  More on that in another post.
