The Scout Tee is a pattern by Grainline Studio that we’ve been in love with ever since it came out in PDF form.  But now, there is a printed version and we predict even more Scout Tee love around here! We’re even teaching it as a class!

This pattern is so flattering, and because it’s designed for woven fabric, there is no limit to the fabric print possibilities!

Here’s one of my firsts…my hair is still long here so you know it was awhile ago!

A newer one…

I love the way Natalie let her bias binding come above the neckline!

Liz is probably the most obsessed, she has about 8 of them!

Liz is sad here because she’s moving.  More on that in another post.

I lengthened the pattern and made a dress for this one:

Check out this longer sleeve version Elisabeth made for Robert Kaufman!

Julia texted me a selfie of herself in a Tula Pink version…Cute!

You CAN make it in a knit too…(yep, that’s Liz again)…

I made my cute friend, Casie, be a model for me!  Doesn’t she look great in green?

Have you made one?  Will you?  HOW MANY!  We can’t stop!!!
Put links to your own Scout Tee pics in the comments so we can see ’em!

    Wait, what?!?!? Liz is moving?

  3. Lisa Yacoubian says:

When is the class? And how do I enter the drawings?

  4. Okay, I have yet to dive into the world of garment making, and wouldn’t think that I would begin with a t-shirt… but you very well may have convinced me with all of these awesome tees in my favorite fabrics!! Is it difficult to make?

Kitty, that’s part of the beauty of it…it’s easy. I think it’s a great first garment project. Let us know if you make one…we want to see!

  5. Love this pattern, it’s nice to see it works with so many different fabrics and people. Lovely!:)

  6. just signed up to take the class with my sister! very excited.

  7. I want one too! But I’m so far away I can’t do the class (big sad face). Would the printed pattern mail as a letter rather than a parcel? I could make me some too then!!!

  8. holy cow I’ve never seen so many cute scouts! I love them all. What fabric did you use for the one your friend Casie is wearing? I’m kind of obsessed with it! Gorgeous. 🙂

  1. […] this new Grainline Studio pattern! I’ve yet to meet a Grainline pattern I didn’t LOVE (8 scout tees and counting). I think this graphic print will work really […]
