We love embroidery and the way it can add so much color and texture to our hand printed fabrics. It is simply painting with threads and stitches.  We have a free form approach to our embroidery using the printed motif as an inspiration to create.  A few simple stitches and an exciting combination of threads is all you need to start.
In our workshop you will be working on one of our 100% linen hand printed panels. The linen is a wonderful base to work on, softening the more you stitch. A Prints Charming stitch guide is also included, an illustrated booklet of our favorite 16 stitches we use over and over. We will cover 4-6 of these stitches, during class, as well as color and thread selection. Setting you on the way to creating your own unique embroidery. We warn you, you will become addicted!
Bring along a pair of embroidery scissors, a large eye needle, crewel ones are good, and a thimble if you use them.

Prints Charming is also excited to be releasing a new line of fabric “Daisy Chain” with Kokka. We will be showing this new line at Sew Modern!  Hand screen printed artwork mixed with a touch of whimsy means an essence of the Prints Charming Studio is retained in Daisy Chain. The over printing of color creates a wonderful dimension to the motifs.  To start the workshop we will be giving a talk about this design process, our lives in Sydney Australia and we’ll  have a trunk show of Daisy Chain samples.
